This 1990 Puch 230GE was reportedly used as a Swiss Military vehicle and after importation to the US was refurbished and modified by Black Bridge Motors in Connecticut. The truck features a 112″ wheelbase and open-top bodywork, and is finished in matte Capri Olive Green over a black interior with carbon weave-style vinyl upholstery. Other modifications include digital gauges, a waterproof stereo with Focal speakers, G55-style 22″ wheels, and more detailed in the listing. The truck is powered by a 2.3-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case. This 230GE is offered by the selling dealer in New York with records of the work performed and a clean Arkansas title.
The truck has been repainted in Black Bridge Motors Capri Olive Green with Glasurit matte clearcoat. The wheelarch extensions, beltline trim, rocker trim, bumpers, and other exterior trim are finished in black, and a jerry can mount has been added to the rear of the vehicle. Protective cages have been added to the turn signal assemblies, and Black Bridge logos are present on the door mirror mounts.
The black soft top over the rear bodywork is equipped with roll-up side and rear windows. The factory headlamps have been replaced with aftermarket items with LED lights and halo-style running lights. The 22″ G55-style wheels are finished in black and are fitted with Toyo Proxes ST III tires measuring 285/40.
The long wheelbase configuration gives the truck capacity for eight people, with two up front and six on the folding benches in the rear compartment. The seats have been reupholstered in carbon weave-look performance vinyl, and the floors are protected with InfinityWeave marine-grade coverings. A weatherproof Sirius and Bluetooth capable stereo receiver is fitted, and the truck is equipped with reference-grade Focal speakers.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a suite of Black Bridge Motors-branded digital instrumentation, including a 120-mph speedometer with nested tachometer, a clock, and a combination gauge housing the temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and charging gauges. Four miles are shown on the digital odometer, though the seller reports that the truck has covered a few hundred miles since completion.
Power is provided by a naturally-aspirated 2.3L inline-four backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case. The seller reports that the truck retains a military-specification 24-volt electrical system.
The body was separated from the chassis when the truck was refurbished, and the seller reports that the hoses, grommets, bezels, and other hardware were replaced. The truck was originally optioned with “fast” ratio axles (A11), and retains factory front disc and rear drum brakes. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
Invoices are available from Black Bridge Motors documenting the work performed, and the seller reports that the work shown totaled more than $63,600. A copy of the Arkansas title is viewable in the gallery below. A cold-start video is viewable below. |
