This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 250GD is a European-market example that was reportedly imported to Canada in 1987 and acquired by the seller’s uncle in 2003. Power is from a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter diesel inline-five paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, a two-speed transfer case, and locking front and rear differentials. The truck is finished in Smoke Silver over a brown and tan interior, and equipment includes fog lights, heated Recaro seats, power windows, an AM/FM radio, and more. This 250GD is now offered by the seller on behalf of his uncle with partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a Québec registration.
The body is finished in Smoke Silver and is equipped with black side moldings, color-matched headlight buckets, front and rear fog lights, and a rear wiper. Clear coat failure is present on several body panels, and other noted issues include an area of rust above the driver-side rear window, a scuff on the corner of the rear bumper, and paint cracking around the headlight buckets.
Five-spoke 15″ wheels are wrapped in Cooper Discoverer M+S tires sized 235/75, and a steel spare wheel is mounted on the carrier out back. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The interior features brown seats with plaid cloth inserts and headrests, along with matching door panels and tan carpets. Equipment includes heated Recaro front seats, power windows and locks, a heater, aftermarket pedals, and an AM/FM/cassette head unit.
A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 180-km/h speedometer, an aftermarket 8k-rpm Sunpro tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer has rolled over at least once and now shows approximately 53k kilometers (~33k miles) miles, around 12k of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter OM602 diesel inline-five sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a transfer case along with individually locking front and rear differentials.
The October 2020 Carfax report lists no accidents and shows two entries in Québec from its first entry in December 2003 at 141k kilometers (~88k miles).
